Jen Sall is a writer, director and producer committed to creative work that is thought-provoking and sparks conversation across film, television, and digital media. She began her career at Rogers & Cowan. Her work as a publicist included overseeing Sundance premieres such as Gregg Araki’s White Bird in A Blizzard. With experience spanning the visual storytelling spectrum - Jen opens the door to more unusual approaches and fresh voices.
Originally from DC, Jen's work is inspired and informed by her time abroad, studying and living in both Rio de Janeiro and Rome, where she learned five languages and worked as an interpreter at a David Bowie concert. Jen is a 2023 Gracie Award Winner from the Alliance for Women in Media. Jen was also one of eight women selected for the 2020 Women in Screen Workshop, hosted by the Australian Screen Forum.
Jen recently directed the short film, Your Night is My Day, starring Benjamin Earl Turner (Blindspotting). The short is based on her series of the same name, a semi-finalist in the 2021 Sundance Institute Episodic Lab. This is one of three short films she raised financing, co-wrote and directed in the past 12 months. The first, This Could Have Been an Email, is a 2025 Cleveland International Film Festival and Cinequest Film Festival selection (both Oscar qualifying festivals) as well as other festivals around the world. She is actively seeking financing for the completed features based off her award-winning shorts. She is in development on a series she created starring Erika Alexander (American Fiction, Get Out) in partnership with MACRO. She has directed branded projects for various companies and brands including CULTURED starring Sarah Sherman (SNL), CHIEF and California Suicide Awareness.
